single review by Dianne Gibbons
With their first hit still lingering in the charts, Smokey bounce back with another Nicky Chinn-Mike Chapman composition entitled "Don't Play Your Rock 'n' Roll to Me".
There is a passage running through this song that sounds like a direct crib from Elvis's old hit "His Latest Flame". I see no reason why Smokey should not have another hit with this second release.

рецензия на сингл от Dianne Gibbons
Их первый хит все еще держится в чартах, а Smokey возвращаются с еще одной композицией Ники Чинна и Майка Чапмена под названием "Don't Play Your Rock ‘n’ Roll to Me".
Лейтмотив этой песни звучит как плагиат из старого хита Элвиса "His Latest Flame". Я не вижу причин, чтобы этот второй релиз Smokey не стал еще одним хитом.
